After Hurricane Katrina, the new and improved Ladybug roller coaster returned with much fanfare in 2015. Fabricated in Germany, the new roller coaster arrived larger and faster than its predecessor.
Prior to its return, the old Ladybug was closed for nearly a decade due to structural corrosion caused by the storm. The local favorite was first installed at City Park in the late 1980s.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the ride is one of many attractions currently shut down inside the park.
