NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - The Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo producers announced the dates for the festival’s return in 2024 and launched early-bird three-day pass sales for next year’s event.
Next year, the festival will return for its 17th year along Bayou St. John from May 17 to May 19.
Organizers said 15,000 people attended this year’s festival overall, which is up 35% from 2022. Festival organizers also collected 8,184 aluminum cans, 405 lbs of plastic, three 48 gallon bins of glass and one full supersack of cardboard as part of the organization’s recycling and sustainability efforts.
The 2022 event also marked the festival’s first-ever comedy tent with New Orleans-born comedian Sean Patton as the headlining act.
The popular three-day festival is produced by Friends of Bayou St. John, a non-profit organization that protects and preserves the historic waterway.
Limited three-day passes for next year’s festival are on sale via the website for $20.24. For more information about the festival or to purchase tickets, visit the website.
