For the first time, Magazine Street gets its own ‘Restaurant Week’ this July

NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - The Magazine Street Merchants Association cooks up something new for foodies to drive business to local restaurants and bars during a traditionally slow summer period in New Orleans.

For the first time, Magazine Street will put on its own Restaurant Week with more than 20 restaurants, bars, coffee and tea shops and chocolatiers serving special menus to encourage people to dine out from July 17 to July 23.

Inspired by Coolinary and Restaurant Week New Orleans, from the Louisiana Restaurant Association and New Orleans & Company, the Magazine Street Merchants Association says this event focuses on the “delicious food and drinks Magazine Street has to offer.”

Several eateries along the popular thoroughfare will offer special prix-fixe menus ranging from $15 to $50, including brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks and bites.

Some of the participating businesses include Dat Dog, Joey K’s, Deanie’s Seafood Kitchen, The Vintage, Reginelli’s Pizza, Gris-Gris, Shaya, Apolline, Osteria Lupo and La Petite Grocery. A full list of participating businesses are available on the website.
