NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - Urban South Brewery will launch its inaugural Potterfest celebration in honor of the iconic fictional character Harry Potter’s birthday from July 27 to July 29.

The free celebration will take place over three days, beginning with a Tri-Wizard Trivia Tournament at the Tchoupitoulas taproom at 6:30 p.m. on July 27.

Throughout the festival, attendees will enjoy a movie marathon, a Potter playlist, a costume contest, wand decorating and a Diagon Alley vendor market. Additionally, Urban South will sponsor a sock drive for those in need. Urban South’s Butterbeer draft and slush will also be available in regular and non-alcoholic pours.

“We are so excited to bring the Potterfest celebration to our NOLA taproom for the first time ever,” Kyle Huling, co-founder and vice president of Urban South Brewery, said in a release. “Potterfest will capture the magical charm of the wizarding world and allow Harry Potter fans in New Orleans a chance to celebrate the iconic character’s birthday.”
