Krewe of Boo Parade set to roll through French Quarter

The Krewe of Boo Parade We are joined by Brian Kern, Chief Spooks-Person of the Krewe of Boo, to tell us all about this year's hauntingly good festivities.

NEW ORLEANS, La. (NOLA NOW) - New Orleans official Halloween parade has returned for a spooktacular weekend full of fun, Saturday, October 19.

The Krewe of Boo Parade features a fleet of creative floats with props and sculptures capturing the essence of the holiday. The 3-dimensional floats come to life at night frightening, and exciting parade goers.

The Krewe of Boo Parade has 13 floats, and over 50 marching crews with great throws for attendees.

“To go down the French Quarter and experience the parade, it’s a two hour show from start to finish. You move there on the street, and you’re gonna get showered with great stuff that you can actually consume and wear,” said Chief spokesperson of Krewe of Boo, Brian Kern.

The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. and travel down Elysian Fields Avenue to North Peters Street.

When the parade stops rolling, the party won’t. There will be a Monster Mash costume party at 8 p.m., with live music at Generations Hall.
