38th annual Christmas in Lafreniere Park

Christmas in Lafreniere Park Tripp Rabalais, Director of Lafreniere Park, and Councilwoman, Arita Bohannan, tell us more about the 38th annual Christmas in Lafreniere Park.

NEW ORLEANS, La. (NOLA NOW) - See Lafreniere Park lit up for the holidays with 10 million twinkling LED lights and beautiful displays for its 38th annual return.

Drive through the park and experience a world of different themes and elaborate Christmas decorations. Some of the classic themes featured are Minions, Disney princesses, Marvel, DC Comics, and a pirate ship. There’s also an interactive walking tour with scenes from Star Wars, Peanuts, and more.

Children can visit Santa’s Express Mail Center and see Santa’s elves building toys. Santa, Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch will make a special appearance on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Lafreniere Park Christmas Lights

Enjoy delicious holiday treats from local food truck vendors and festive music starting Sunday, Dec. 1, through Monday, Dec. 30.

Lafreniere Park will be closed Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Tickets purchased in advance are $10 per car. It’s $15 per car at the park. “It doesn’t matter how many people are in the vehicle or if it’s a bus or van, the price will remain the same,” Director of Lafreniere Park, Tripp Rabalais said.
