NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Southeast Louisiana is gearing up for another Carnival season, with dozens of parades rolling across New Orleans and the surrounding areas.
Whether you’re heading to Uptown, the French Quarter, Metairie or the north shore, there’s a parade for everyone.
Below is a guide to the 2025 Carnival parade schedule, including dates, times, and locations so you can plan your festivities accordingly.
Early Parades Kick Off the Season
The season begins in Covington on Jan. 11, with the Fools of Misrule (4 p.m.) and the Krewe of Majestic (11 a.m.). Feb. 1 marks the return of the Krewe of Chewbacchus, the beloved sci-fi and fantasy parade in the Marigny, rolling at 7 p.m.
Valentine’s Day Weekend Parades
Mardi Gras weekend starts heating up on Feb. 14, when the Krewe Bohème rolls through the French Quarter at 7 p.m.. On the north shore, the Krewe of Titans parades through Slidell at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 15, is packed with parades across the city:
- Krewe du Vieux (6:30 p.m., French Quarter) – Known for its satire and adult humor.
- Krewe of Bilge (Noon, Slidell) – A boat parade on the water.
- Krewe of Poseidon (6 p.m., Slidell).
Sunday, Feb. 16, sees more action, including:
- Krewe of Little Rascals (Noon, Metairie).
- Krewe of Antheia (1 p.m., Slidell).
- ‘Tit Rəx (4:30 p.m., Marigny) – A satirical mini-float parade.
- Krewe of Nefertiti (1 p.m., New Orleans East).

The busiest parade week kicks off on Feb. 21, featuring:
- Krewe of Cork (3 p.m., French Quarter).
- Krewe of Excalibur (7 p.m., Metairie).
- Krewe of Oshun (5:30 p.m., Uptown).

- Krewe of Eve (7 p.m., Mandeville).
Saturday, Feb. 22 includes a jam-packed schedule:
- Krewe of Pontchartrain (11 a.m., Uptown).
- Legion of Mars (Follows Pontchartrain, Uptown).
- Krewe of Choctaw (Follows Legion of Mars, Uptown).
- Krewe of Freret (Follows Choctaw, Uptown).
- Knights of Sparta (5:30 p.m., Uptown).
- Krewe of Pygmalion (6:15 p.m., Uptown).
- Krewe of Olympia (6 p.m., Covington).
Inclement weather forecast for Sunday, Feb. 23, has forced the postponement of several parades:

- The Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale parade scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday will now roll Tuesday Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. on an abbreviated Uptown route. Femme Fatale and the two parades that follow now will be floats-only, without bands, dance troupes or marching elements
- The Krewe of Carrollton parade scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Sunday will now roll Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m., following Femme Fatale
- The Krewe of King Arthur parade scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday will now roll Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m., following Femme Fatale and Carrollton
- The Mystic Krewe of Barkus dog parade scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday in the French Quarter will be postponed to March 9 at 2 p.m.
- The Krewe of Atlas parade scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday in Metairie has been postponed to Thursday, Feb. 27. Atlas will follow the Krewe of Symphony parade that starts at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 25, the rescheduled parades include:
- Krewe of Femme Fatale (5:30 p.m., Uptown)
- Krewe of Carrollton (6:30 p.m., Uptown)
- Krewe of King Arthur (7:30 p.m., Uptown)
On Wednesday, Feb. 26, these major parades roll back-to-back:
- Krewe of Druids (6:15 p.m., Uptown).
- Krewe of Alla (Follows Druids, Uptown).
- Krewe of Nandi (6 p.m., Westbank).
Thursday, Feb. 27 features:
- Knights of Babylon (5:30 p.m., Uptown).
- Knights of Chaos (Follows Babylon, Uptown).
- Krewe of Muses (6:30 p.m., Uptown).
- Krewe of Symphony (6:30 p.m., Metairie).
- Krewe of Atlas (Follows Symphony, Metairie).
On Friday, Feb. 28, the night belongs to:
