Shelby’s Shortcut: Hot fudge pudding cake Shelby Latino shows us a shortcut to a yummy sweet treat, hot fudge pudding cake.

NEW ORLEANS, La. (NOLA NOW) -

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°
  • Mix together 3/4 cups white sugar, 1 cup of all purpose flour, 3 tablespoons of cocoa, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, & 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of milk, 1/3 cup of melted butter, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla.
  • Pour the batter into an 8 or 9 inch greased baking dish.
  • Mix together another 3/4 cups of white sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 4 tablespoons of cocoa. Sprinkle that mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Pour 1 1/4 cups of HOT water over top and don’t stir!
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is almost set. Let it cool for about 15 minutes and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
