Parker Boyd is a native of the New Orleans metropolitan area. He graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in journalism.
He comes to WLOX with a strong passion for storytelling. He’s following in the footsteps of his parents, Glynn and Nancy Parker Boyd. Both were long time journalists in New Orleans.
Parker loves spending time with family, reading about history, and rooting for his New Orleans Saints and Pelicans. He is a member of the Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Boutte, Louisiana, where he serves as an usher. He vows to give Biloxi and the Gulf Coast reliable news daily.
